The product, module by module

Every module in Sentrix, in detail

This page is for the person who has to decide whether Sentrix fits: a compliance officer, a head of risk, or a managing director. It covers what each module does, what it needs from you, and where it stops short of making a decision for you.

Customer checks (KYC/KYB)

Verify who a customer is, and screen them for risk, before an account opens or a relationship deepens.

  • Individuals: NIN, BVN, phone number, selfie and liveness check, passport, driver’s licence or voter’s card.
  • Businesses: CAC company lookup and TIN check, alongside identity checks on the people who own and run the business.
  • Screening: AML, sanctions, PEP and adverse-media checks run alongside identity verification, not as a separate step afterwards.
  • Bring your own provider: connect Prembly, Dojah, Youverify, Smile ID or another provider your business already has a contract with. Sentrix orchestrates the calls; billing stays directly between you and the provider.
  • No engineering work is needed to connect a provider, and this module can be skipped during setup and added later without disrupting anything already running.

Transaction monitoring

Every transaction is checked against your rules and blocklist before it completes.

  • A transaction that breaches a rule or matches the blocklist is held pending a decision, with a configurable fallback (allow or hold) if nobody answers in time.
  • Daily file upload is supported for institutions without a live API connection yet, so monitoring can start before integration work is finished.
  • Fraud alerts carry the reason they were raised, and can trigger a recall request to the receiving bank.
  • Place a post-no-debit (PND) on an account directly from a flagged transaction or an open case.

Case management

Alerts, KYC conflicts and fraud reports all become cases, with one record and one timeline from first flag to final decision.

  • Cases are assigned automatically based on role and case type, so nothing waits for someone to notice it.
  • Each case keeps its full timeline: evidence gathered, decisions taken, and who took them.
  • A second person reviews before any case closes.
  • File suspicious transaction reports (STRs) to the NFIU, and check files against the goAML format before submission.
  • Handle law-enforcement requests for information from the same case record.
  • Run quality checks on closed alerts, and keep an overrides register for decisions that departed from the standard rule outcome.

Risk policy, in your hands

Set the policy; Sentrix applies it consistently across every customer and every transaction.

  • Define customer risk tiers and the data required at each tier, including criteria for high-risk and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Configure special account types with their own rules.
  • Set screening rules, look-back windows and a shared blocklist.
  • Track rule and model performance on dashboards, to see what is catching real risk and what is only generating noise.
  • Test a policy change in a sandbox against real historical data before it goes live.

Reports

Produce the reports your examiners and your board ask for, from the same records your team already works with.

  • Regulator-ready reports and data exports.
  • Institution-wide risk assessment.
  • Board packs and examination packs.
  • Performance reports broken down by individual rule.

Teams, roles and access

Give each person access to exactly what their job needs, nothing more.

  • Built-in roles: Chief Compliance Officer, Compliance Manager, Officer, Analyst, Branch staff, Auditor, IT admin and Managing Director.
  • Sensitive changes — a policy edit, a case closure, a change to someone’s access — need a second approver.
  • Every decision keeps a full audit trail: who acted, when, and why.

Credit assessment (pilot)

A pilot module that gives a credit officer a repayment-capacity read before they decide.

  • Upload a customer’s transaction history as a CSV, or pull it from their existing account records, along with basic customer or business information.
  • Get a letter grade from A (strongest) to E, the factors behind it — such as steady inflows or on-time repayment of a past facility — and a suggested working-capital limit.

This assessment informs a credit officer’s decision; it does not make the decision. It is built only from your own institution’s records, and is never shared across other businesses.
